Itinerary of Agra by Palace on Wheels
The seventh and the final day will start with a visit to Bharatpur, founded by Maharaja Suraj Mal. Breakfast will be followed by a visit to Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana) National Park. The park serves as the natural habitat for approximately 375 species of birds, comprising of both resident as well as migratory ones. Next on the itinerary will be Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted city of Mughal Emperor Akbar.
Thereafter, the tourists will proceed towards Agra, where they will visit Red Fort, followed by Taj Mahal, the epitome of love. Emperor Shah Jahan got this magnificent monument built in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Built entirely out of white marble, Taj Mahal represents the personification of the love of a husband for his wife. Agra is also famous for its footwear, leather goods and jewelry.
Palace of Wheels will leave for Delhi by late evening. Dinner will be had in the train, following which everyone shall retire for the night. The train will reach the Safdarjung Railway Station early in the morning.
